Many-colored Lupine

Lupinus varicolor

Low-growing perennial shrub 1-2’ wide with soft grey-green foliage. Diminutive clusters of white, yellow, rose or purple flowers (often on a single plant). Blooms in April and extends through the summer months. Good for perennial borders, grassland restoration or small-scale ground cover. Found on North Coastal terraces & grasslands. Food plant of endangered Mission Blue Butterfly.
