Native Bulbs

Native Bulbs for 2017 Are Ready!

ALMOST GONE November 15, 2017. We have listed the bulbs we carry as "Out of stock" while we go through our stock and figure out exactly what we still have. The demand has been so great, and they move out so quickly, that we need to catch up. We still have Camas.

Our native geophytes are somewhat infrequently grown in gardens. A varied and beautiful group, they are of great importance to California's indigenous peoples. Each selection comes with a  description of how to grow them in the garden, as well as how to prepare them for eating, for those who are interested. They are an important component of our native grasslands and meadows and can be grown in your "mini-prairie."  They also do very well in large containers. Sow in masses for best effects.
